EXTERNAL DISPLAY Off-Road

The External Display Off-Road is exactly the same as the External Display but in a splash-proof housing. The Off-Road version is specially made for Off-Road driving or open cars where the External display is open to the weather circumstances.

One or several external displays can be simultaneously connected to the Alma 1 (XL) tripmeter to emphasize certain information to the co-pilote or to show information to the driver directly. The shown information can be selected by the central selection button. Therefore every external display can display different information. By the toggle switch, the light can be dimmed to adjust the display to the night or to the day. The night level can be infinite adjusted by an internal potentiometer. With the easy usable button and the slick design with the carbon front plate is this the ideal matching design to have together with the Alma 1(XL) tripmeter.

The information that can be displayed:

  • Splash-proof housing and buttons
  • Trip distance (from corner to corner)
  • Stopwatch
  • Current speed
  • Avarage speed
  • Deviation from ideal position

Every Alma 1 (XL) tripmeter has the possibility to connect external display. Therefore, a external display can always be added in a later stage to the tripmeter.

A possible setup is an external display with the trip distance in front of the co-pilote for extra emphasis together with an external display at the driver with the deviation from the ideal position so that he can stay where he needs to be on the stage. In this setup, the co-pilote can do the necessary adjustments but does not have to communicate to the driver himself while the driver sees his own ideal position. For cars with a bad speedometer, you can even add an extra external display in front of the co-driver with the speed displayed..

When the speed is over the maximum set speed (in the Alma 1 XL tripmaster), the tripmaster sends a signal to the external display which will switch the red led on and switch the relais where you can switch what ever you want to indicate that you drive too fast.
